Straight tray sections are only part of a cable management system. Fittings connect routes around corners, branches, level changes and equipment. They should be selected with the tray profile, width, height, material and finish.

Common fittings for a complete route

  • Horizontal bends: turn a route while protecting cable bend radius.
  • Tees and crosses: split one route into two or more branches.
  • Reducers: transition between different tray widths.
  • Vertical bends: coordinate changes in elevation and drops.
  • Splice plates and hardware: join tray sections and maintain the specified connection.
  • Covers and dividers: add protection or separation where the project requires it.

Build the fittings schedule from drawings

Count each change in direction and elevation from the approved layout. Confirm inside and outside bend orientation, branch direction, support points and connection hardware. This avoids late substitutions that can delay installation.

Match finish and accessories

Fittings should match the tray material and finish unless the project engineer approves another solution. Check fasteners, bonding accessories, covers, clamps and support brackets as one coordinated package.

Ask for a shop drawing when the route is complex

For large industrial, data center or infrastructure routes, a marked-up plan and fitting schedule can reduce errors. Send the route drawing, tray dimensions and finish requirement when requesting a quotation.
