Inspect joints and splice plates
Use compatible splice hardware and install it correctly. Remove contamination or coatings only where the approved method requires it, and protect exposed areas after field modification. Expansion joints, flexible connections and dissimilar metals need special attention.
Coordinate covers, fittings and branches
Continuity should be considered across bends, tees, reducers, covers and branch routes. Keep the fittings schedule complete so installers know which bonding accessories and jumpers are required at each transition.
Record the handover checks
Document visual inspection, fastener checks and any continuity measurements required by the project. Testing must be completed by qualified personnel using the approved procedure and equipment.
